A new chapter in the Dune franchise is just days away, as heads to the UK. Airing later this month, the prequel series takes place 10,000 years before the ascension of Timothée Chalamet’s Paul Atreides.

It follows two Harkonnen sisters as they combat forces that threaten the future of humankind and establish the fabled sect that will become known as the Bene Gesserit. The six-part drama takes inspiration from Sisterhood of Dune, the novel penned by Kevin J. Anderson and Frank Herbert’s son Brian Herbert.

The series boasts a stacked ensemble cast led by Oscar-nominee Emily Watson as Valya Harkonnen, the leader of the Sisterhood. She stars alongside The Crown’s Olivia Williams, The Witcher’s Jodhi May and Kingsman’s Mark Strong.
