EastEnders is facing a leak crisis after scripts exposing an upcoming death twist were left on a train.

A member of the cast has made a huge error, resulting in one fan even knowing who will be victim of this year's Christmas death. According to a new report, an actress from the soap left sides - the script pages actors use before filming their scenes the next day - on a busy train.

The abandoned pages were found on the Thameslink train at Elstree & Borehamwood station in Hertfordshire on October 31 in the morning. She told “[My husband is] not much of a soap fan but he knows I love them, so told me straight away. I was very excited — I love EastEnders. I couldn’t wait to read the script and wasn’t disappointed. There’s a real twist that will shock everyone and a main character is killed off."

The woman kept quiet on the character she discovered dies. However, fans have been speculating over who it might be. fans have been fearful for the character's fate after pictures from Cast members were on location filming a funeral, with it heavily hinted it was Linda's.

She was missing from the snaps, as her mother Elaine Peacock, son Johnny Carter and pal Sharon Watts attended a service. The coffin was white with a pink rose on, and fans immediately wondered if Linda dies. However, some viewers think that while the funeral will be Linda's, she might not actually die and that it is a red herring.

It has also been teased that more than 10 years after her debut. Another theory taking off in recent weeks suggests Shane Richie's Alfie Moon will be the unfortunate Albert Square resident. Shane - who has played the character since 2002 - sparked the speculation himself when he addressed upcoming plot points with the last month.

He said: "A few things happened on Christmas, which I intentionally didn’t read [the script] because I knew that Kat and Alfie were going to be involved, and I didn’t really want to know what was going to happen in the Queen Vic on Christmas Day. But oh my God! I sat there watching this story unfolding in the Queen Vic that happens on Christmas Day, and as a fan of the show anyway, I was like, 'Oh my God I can’t believe this! Stop!'. I had to do a line and I kept messing it up because I was so taken in with that the storyline that was happening. You’re in for a lovely treat this Christmas Day."
