Chelsea's Mykhailo Mudryk, who joined the Blues from Shakhtar Donetsk in January 2022 for a fee of up to £88.5million, may find his exit options limited ahead of the January transfer window.
The Ukrainian international has struggled to make an impact at , despite showing promise in the UEFA Conference League where he scored two goals and provided three assists in three matches. With competition from the likes of Noni Madueke, Pedro Neto, Jadon Sancho, Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson, Mudryk could continue to find playing time hard to come by.
Despite having seven years left on his contract, may struggle to recoup their investment if Mudryk decides to seek more game time elsewhere, making a loan move more likely. Crystal Palace have been rumoured to be interested in the winger, but they would face certain challenges due to Premier League rules regarding loan signings.

Crystal Palace currently have two players on loan this season, with goalkeeper Matt Turner at Selhurst Park from Nottingham Forest and Chelsea's defender Trevoh Chalobah also in the squad until the season's end. The situation with Chalobah is particularly interesting as his parent club is Chelsea.
Should Oliver Glasner's team decide to make Chalobah's move permanent, given that he has become a key player in their defence, it could open up an opportunity for Crystal Palace to explore the loan market once more. Alternatively, they could send Chalobah back to Stamford Bridge, but considering his significant role at Palace, this seems improbable, reports .
Premier League clubs must adhere to four rules when signing players on loan. They are:
- Premier League clubs may not register more than two players on loan at any one time.
- The maximum number of loans registrable in the same season is four, and, under no circumstances, shall more than one be from the same club at any one time.
- Premier League clubs cannot loan to another Premier League club a player they have acquired in the same transfer window.
- A Premier League club may loan not more than one of its goalkeepers to another Premier League club.
Meanwhile, Mudryk is setting his sights on success with the Blues, particularly in the Conference League. "I don't want to give any prediction but Chelsea is a club that is always aiming for the biggest results and getting to the greatest places in many tournaments," he expressed last month.
"Talent ain't enough. If you want to succeed you have to work hard and be patient."
