A toy company has expressed deep regret over a "misprint" on the packaging of Wicked dolls that directed buyers to instead of the official movie website.
The dolls, based on characters from the upcoming film featuring British actress Cynthia Erivo and US pop singer as witches Elphaba and Glinda, were released by .
Images that went viral on social media revealed that the packaging included a web address for a porn site sharing the same name as the highly anticipated movie. The URL leads to a landing page with an 18+ warning and explicit adult content.

In a statement, the toy company said: "Mattel was made aware of a misprint on the packaging of the Mattel Wicked collection dolls, primarily sold in the US, which was intended to direct consumers to the official WickedMovie.com landing page. We deeply regret this unfortunate error and are taking immediate action to remedy this."
They further advised parents that the misprinted website is not suitable for children and suggested that those who have already purchased the product should discard the packaging or cover the link.
The film is set to hit the big screens on November 22, with the second part slated for release in November 2025, reports .
