Champions League was back on the screen on Wednesday, but it was more than football that was grabbing fans' attention.

Actor Will Mellor, who is an avid Manchester United fan, took to Twitter /X to share his shock at a certain moment between Aston Villa's defeat of German giants Bayern Munich. While Jhon Duran's sensational strike was enough for the Villans to record a famous victory, it was one away supporter's in-match antics that stunned the former Coronation Street star.

He quote tweeted an account which said "Bayern fan enjoying the game." The clip showed a supporter in a green hoody and red scarf seemingly pour some substance onto his hand. As he brought it up to his face, the camera quickly panned back to the action on the pitch, but not fast enough to stop fans questioning what was going on.

Among those was Will who wrote: "When the camera cuts to a man doing gear in the crowd!!!" along with a stunned face emoji. A number of his followers shared their surprise at the clip. One fan penneD: "Really …..! What the hell is he mad cameras all around," while another joked: "Director - "Camera f*****g 3, QUICK!" One user, however, said: "Looks like a packet of popping candy."

Will, who is currently starring in The Family, is perhaps best known for his role on Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps. In the sitcom, he played the role of "lad" Gaz, alongside pal Ralf Little who played Johnny. Will recently shared an update on a potential revival of the hit show, after he had previously revealed that a script was already produced.

The sitcom, which originally focused on Gaz, Johnny and their partners and pals, played by Natalie Casey, Kathryn Drysdale, and Sheridan Smith, initially ran for nine series. It was based in Runcorn and aired between 2001 and 2011. Speaking to the Mirror, Will admitted he still hopes a reunion can happen one day but sadly said: "There's no conversation, really."

He added: "We spoke about it. It's probably a couple of years ago now, cause me and [Ralf] were doing a podcast, Two Pints with Will & Ralf, that we set up in lockdown, and we try to give fans of the show and people who enjoyed what we did, something. And talking about the old days and everything else [and] we've had two really successful tours. We're in talks for doing another one. So have sort of scratched the itch, but also, we did get a script together with Susan Nixon, who was the original creator and writer [of Two Pints], and it was called Two Pints: Last Orders. We had a first draft and we had a story outline, and me and Ralf were up for doing it."
