The Premier League title race is back in full swing this Saturday, with aiming to further unsettle its faltering rivals.

The Reds claimed the top spot last weekend after a , while . Despite it being City's first loss in the English top flight since December of the previous year, their recent form suggests they're on shaky ground, having lost three consecutive matches across all competitions for the first time in six years.

Arsenal, on the other hand, is facing even more difficulties, securing only one point from their last three matches and, like City, experiencing a Champions League defeat midweek.

Liverpool, however, had no such issues, demolishing Bayer Leverkusen 4-0 at Anfield in a stunning second-half performance. This marks their 14th win in 16 matches under new head coach Arne Slot, who has made an impressive start in Merseyside after stepping into Jurgen Klopp's legendary shoes.

The Reds will be looking to maintain their winning streak this Saturday night when they host Aston Villa. With City and Arsenal facing challenging away games against Brighton and Hove Albion and Chelsea respectively, Liverpool could seize the opportunity to extend their lead at the top.

Former Arsenal star William Gallas has weighed in on the title race, suggesting it's a three-horse race between his old club, Liverpool, and Manchester City. The ex-France international, who also turned out for Chelsea and Spurs, feels that despite Arsenal's current form, they're still in contention.

Speaking to Prime Casino, Gallas said: "I still believe it's between those three clubs: Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal. Mikel Arteta has to find the solutions to get his team winning again, but, and I've said this before, Arsenal are missing that striker who can make the difference. I've been saying this for a long time; I've been saying it for years."

Gallas then questioned the stamina of the current squad, saying: "It's unacceptable for Arsenal's players to look tired at this time of the season. Liverpool won the Premier League; they won the Champions League. They dropped off last season, and you can understand why, because maybe the players had heard the same things from Klopp for too long. You forgive them that because of what they won, Arsenal don't have that excuse.

"Arsenal have won absolutely nothing! Nothing. Why are they tired? Their arms don't ache form lifting trophies. Explain to me why they are tired. Liverpool, they don't look tired, they look like they're ready to fight for the title."
