We all love a good deal, especially when it comes to food. And since the launch of Too Good To Go in the UK in 2016, many of us have been hooked.

The app lets us search for local restaurants and takeaways offering unsold food at heavily discounted prices that would otherwise go to waste. The scheme became incredibly popular during the Covid-19 , with also joining in, allowing customers to pick up items nearing their expiry date.

One woman who recently bagged an amazing deal is user Jo (@thismumcooks), who managed to get 14 items for just £3.25.

She proudly displayed her haul in a video, captioning it: "These bags are such a gamble but when you get a great Too Good To Go Bag, it can be incredible and today was one of those days!"

Jo continued: "14 items for just £3.25, I don't know of any other app that gives such incredible bargains, but you do take your chances. I think I got about £20 in this bag and my kids are hoping to absolutely love it."

Excited for her family's "Saturday night treat", Jo held up the bag and said she "already knows it'll be good" due to its weight. With a smile, she started by showing off a box of two chocolate eclairs, before diving deeper into her bag.

She then revealed chocolate, strawberry and vanilla doughnuts, a variety of pasties, and her "first mince pie of the year". More snacks followed in the form of chicken satay skewers and an egg mayonnaise sandwich.

Clearly over the moon with her endeavours, Jo exclaimed: "That's insane! I've never had such a good Too Good To Go bag."

The impressive haul even got her followers buzzing, as one asked: "That's got to be a record best bag ever! Where was it from? " To which Jo happily replied: "It really was, it was a Sayers bag".

Fellow app users were stunned by Jo's luck, with comments like "Blimey I gave up Too Good To Go as got next to nothing in bag! Thought it was a con." Another shared the excitement: "That's such a good haul! "

Some expressed sheer amazement with reactions like: "Wow, great bargain," while others piled on the praise, declaring "Really good bag."
