Woman shares horrifying 'side hustle' where she pockets nearly £100 for just one sale

We've all dreamed of, and maybe even considered, getting paid for something on the side to boost our pay packets - whether that be selling our art, writing short , or maybe even flogging pictures of feet.

But one woman's lucrative "side hustle" has left some people saying 'this is the life they need', because she does hardly anything yet allegedly makes £85 a pop, leaving her to do a 9-5 as well if she wanted to.

user @LatieshaJoness1 admitted "it's a lifestyle" as she shoved a cotton bud in her ear, admitting people pay her for the used tool.

Over the top of the video, she wrote: "Your friends all work serious 9-5s and you spend your days selling used ear buds", as she inserted the ear bud into her ear, took it out, then popped it into a sealable bag to send off to whoever had purchased it from her. She also included a card she'd kissed and signed for the ear wax fans.

But this raised questions from many people, and they weren't just "where do I sign up?" One person was left dumbfounded, wondering: "But what do they do with it?"

Another wrote: "This is the lifestyle I need", and Latiesha responded, joking: "There are enough men for us all."

Someone else said: "How do you know what to charge? And what if the earbuds come out with ear wax?" and Latiesha replied: "You charge whatever comes into your head X2 & the more wax the better LOL.."

"Off to get mine out of the bin", a future businesswoman shared, and others said they "could do this all day" for the money she was charging. With just 10 ear buds, you could earn £850 if you charge the same as the TikTok user.

Other comments included: "This is my dream job", "Wow, I'm up for that", "I'm glad I'm not the only one selling weird stuff", "Stop it right now", "I'd make a killing", and "Another side hustle idea".

While this may seem like a good idea and a quick and easy way to , experts warned against using this type of tool to clean the ear, as it can be detrimental to your health.

According to , if you push one into your ear too hard, then you could instantly perforate the eardrum, for example, which is incredibly painful.

They added: "Scraping the cotton bud along the sensitive inside of your ear can cause bleeding, which is difficult to deal with in the ear, as well as internal bruising. While cotton buds might look like the ideal ear tool, they are actually far from it."
