The innovative drying solution was revealed on the Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips page. The tipster, revisiting her own advice from the previous year, shared: "I posted about this last winter, but thought I'd mention it again for any newbies. If you have a bannister this is a brilliant way to get your washing dry - the wide-armed radiator airers fit perfectly. As we all know heat rises so clothes dry very quickly."
A woman's clever trick to dry clothes faster at home has gone viral, with the post racking over 6,000 likes and floods of users calling it "brateful." The savvy tip involves placing a radiator airer over her bannister, allowing clothes on the airer to hang above the stairs.
Because heat naturally ascends from the lower floors, it warms the clothes above, speeding up the drying process and also saves on space where conventional airers might be too bulky. Responses to the idea have been overwhelmingly positive, with one person saying: "Thanks for sharing this, I didn't even think to hang clothes like this," another exclaimed: "Brilliant idea, thanks," and a third shared: "I do this! Such a good space saver!"
Bargain hunters can snag a pair of these handy radiator airers for just £3 at Dunelm or pay £5 at B&M. For those needing wide-armed versions to fit their bannisters precisely, they'll need to splurge a tad more. Dunelm offers a fold-out variant for £5, while Home Bargains has one for £2.99.
