If you’ve suddenly noticed some of your favourite Sky channels aren’t where they used to be you are not alone. The popular TV provider has just confirmed a major shake-up to its telly planner with a total of 13 channels switching their current position and making the move to somewhere new.

Services affected include Animal Planet, PBS America and Disc. History with Sky explaining that those with and older HD boxes will be hit by the changes.

The update was announced on Sky's community pages, with the changes taking place this week. It's thought the idea behind the update is to tidy things up and make it easier to find these channels.

Recordings should also be unaffected but if you have a show you're desperate not to miss it might be worth checking that its series link hasn't been turned off by mistake.

The update also only affects Sky Q and Sky HD boxes so if you have the latest Sky Stream or Sky Glass TV in your home you don't need to worry.
