Through the PCS examination of Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission, appointments are made on the posts of Deputy SP, Deputy Collector, Block Development Officer, Treasury Officer/Accounts Officer (Treasury), Deputy Superintendent of Police, Assistant Commissioner Commercial Tax, Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO), District Commandant Home Guards, Sugarcane Inspector and Assistant Sugarcane Commissioner, Excise Inspector, Child Development Project Officer, District Panchayati Raj Officer, District Social Welfare Officer etc. This year also vacancies have been released for a total of 220 posts.

Who can apply

For the UPPSC PCS examination, the candidate must be a graduate. Any graduate pass candidate can apply for these posts, along with this the age limit has also been fixed. Candidates whose age is between 21 to 40 years can apply for these posts, although ST, SC, and OBC category candidates are given relaxation in age limit as per the rules of reservation.

How much is the application fee?

Candidates applying for UPPSC's PCS exam have to pay an application fee as well. General category candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs 125, while for ST and SC category candidates this fee is fixed at Rs 65.

How is the selection done?

Candidates have to pass the PCS exam to get selected for these posts of UPPSC. Under this, candidates have to take a preliminary exam. Candidates who are successful in this get a chance to take the main exam. When a candidate passes the main exam, he has to give an interview. Candidates who are successful in this are finally selected.

How much salary is received?

Candidates selected in the PCS exam also get a good salary and other facilities. Under PCS (United States/Senior Subordinate Services), they get Junior Scale Pay Band 9300-34800. After this, their salary becomes according to the Senior Time Scale Pay Band 15600-39100. Similarly, their minimum basic salary is Rs 56,000 and their maximum salary is Rs 1,32,000 per month. Apart from this, they also get facilities like housing and vehicles, etc.
