The Central Industrial Security Force, established in the year 1973, currently has a total of more than 260 battalions. But there is not a single women's battalion.
This force will celebrate its 55th Foundation Day on 10 March 2025. According to the source, during the Foundation Day program, this women's battalion will also demonstrate its strength and skills in front of the Union Home Minister. Let us tell you that the announcement of the women's battalion in CISF was made by Union Home Minister Amit Shah two years ago on 5 February 2022.
If a senior CISF source is to be believed, then after the approval of the Union Home Ministry in this matter, the deployment of women soldiers in the battalion has started in other operations related to deployment. The process of recruitment in the women battalion by CISF, their better training process, along this, instructions have been given by the Director of CISF to improve all the basic issues as soon as possible based on priority of women's location.
More than 7% of women in CISF
The spokesperson of CISF said on Tuesday that CISF has been the preferred choice for women wishing to join the Central Armed Force. Their share in this force is more than 7 percent. The formation of the women's battalion will encourage the young women of the country. They will get a new identity in the force.
