There is no direct recruitment in SPG

The process of becoming an SPG commando is very difficult. To become an SPG commando, it is mandatory for you to be from CRPF, CISF, BSF, ITBP. Actually, SPG does not do direct recruitment. To get recruited in it, you must be from Central Police Force or Paramilitary Force.

Selection Process

Only those soldiers are recruited in SPG, whose age is less than 35 years. The monthly income of SPG Commando ranges from Rs 84,236 to Rs 244,632. Apart from this, SPG Commandos deployed on operation duty are given a dress allowance of Rs 27,800 per year and commandos deployed on non-operation duty are given a dress allowance of Rs 21,225 per year. That is, the annual income of SPG Commando ranges from Rs 12 to 13 lakh.
