1. Travel etiquette at night

Sleep time: The prescribed sleep time is from 10 pm to 6 am. Passengers sitting on the lower berth can request those sitting on the middle berth to go to their respective berths during this time.

Noise level: To ensure a peaceful atmosphere, passengers are advised to avoid playing loud music and talking at night.

2. Ticket checking protocol

Between 10 pm and 6 am, TTEs do not check tickets. The purpose of this policy is to allow passengers uninterrupted rest.

3. Baggage Allowance

When packing for your trip, it is important to know the luggage limits:

Weight restrictions: Passengers can carry 40 to 70 kg of luggage depending on the class of travel. Exceeding this limit may attract an additional charge.

Some items are strictly prohibited on trains for safety reasons. These include:

Gas cylinders
Flammable chemicals
Firecrackers
Acids
Strongly scented items
Leather or wet hides
Oil, grease, and ghee in packed form

Any item that may break or drip, causing damage or loss
