The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has accepted the demands of the candidates and postponed the examination of the Review Officer (RO) and Assistant Review Officer (ARO). Also, it has announced to conduct the Provincial Civil Service (PCS) Prelims Exam on the old pattern. Also, the commission has also announced to formation a committee for the RO/ARO exam, so that the problem of the students can be solved.
Secretary gave information
Commission Secretary Ashok Kumar, while giving information about the decisions taken by the commission in front of the existing candidates, said, "For the last few days, there was a situation of dissatisfaction among the students regarding the UPPCS and RO/ARO recruitment examinations. The students demanded that the PCS prelims exam should be conducted in a single day instead of conducting it in more than one shift." He said, "CM Yogi took cognizance of these demands of the students and directed the commission to take necessary decisions by talking to the students. The commission talked to the students on the instructions of the CM and considering their demands, it was decided that the PCS Prelims Exam 2024 will be conducted on a single day as before." Committee formed
He further said, "On the initiative of CM Yogi, UPPSC has postponed the RO/ARO Exam-2023 and formed a committee to ensure its transparency and fairness. This committee will know all the aspects and will give its detailed report soon, so that the purity and credibility of these examinations can be ensured.''
More than one shift due to paper leak
The secretary further said that in view of the incidents of paper leak in many states of the country in recent months, the state government has decided to ensure the purity and transparency of the selection examinations. He said that due to this, the commission had decided to conduct the proposed PCS and RO/ARO examinations in more than one shift in the month of December, however, after the demand of the students and the intervention of the CM, now the PCS prelims exam will be conducted in a single day.
