The initial reactions

Users are praising Suriya’s performance but are bashing the below-average plot and the supporting cast.

People said that Disha Patani and Bobby Deol were wasted in the film.

According to some of the latest comments, Kanguva is like “Magadheera on steroids.”

One user commented, “Amid all the visual extravaganza, #Kanguva fails to withstand in the absence of deft writing. There was a lot to explore in terms of clans, the world and characters it attempted to create, but amid the clamorous screenplay, it fails to utilise all that it created.”

Another user commented, “kanguva Review: One time watchable, Story: #Magadheera movie storyline #KajalAggarwal character is replaced by a small child.  Positives: @Suriya_offl's performance,Past Flashback scenes,@ThisIsDSP's BGM and songs(Except yolo song). Especially kanguva Intro,Thalaivane song placement. Negatives: Poor VFX,CGI,cliched climax fight scene between Hero and villain resembled vedalam fight scene.Present day scenes are irritating to watch. Typical siva's irritating comedies makes worst to watch. Takeaways: This should've been a Biggest movie in #Kollywood. But got spoiled in making.”

One user reacted, “Kanguva is the definition of Overconfidence Pan India Scam Kaash shooting ke pehle din he Camera Futgya hota ! Itni purani kahani hai ki stone age man bhi dekhle to stone fek ke marega.”

Another user reacted, “Bruh should take a break! Literally wasted 3 years for this?! The movie is too loud and messy. Characters are screaming and bgm will make your ear bleed. VFX is good but we won’t feel any emotional connect. Went with no expectations and still wasn’t satisfied.”
