Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel joins 117th birth anniversary celebrations of Dada Bhagvan in Vadodara

Gandhinagar (Gujarat) [India], November 10 (ANI): Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Sunday attended the 117th birth anniversary celebrations of Pujya Shri Dada Bhagvan in Vadodara on Sunday.
During the event, the Chief Minister and Deepakbhai released a commemorative postage stamp honouring Dada Bhagvan, issued by the Department of Posts, Government of India, according to a press release.
In his address, the Chief Minister said that all spiritual paths ultimately strive for self-knowledge as the highest truth.
"While many paths promote a step-by-step journey to this understanding, Pujya Shri Dada Bhagvan imparts divine knowledge, free from karma and stages. Today's generation is finding ways to navigate challenges like pollution and adversity through the guidance and example of Dada Bhagvan," the Chief Minister said.


Recalling Dada Bhagvan's life journey, the Chief Minister mentioned his attainment of self-realization and Akram Science at Surat Railway Station.
Through Akram Science, people across the globe are moving toward salvation by adopting a karma-free life. Dada Bhagvan advocated for a path of liberation grounded in simplicity, piety, and an ascetic lifestyle.

Dada Bhagvan's final days were spent in his Karma Bhoomi Vadodara, with 'Mama's Pol' regarded as a sacred place.
The Chief Minister also stated that the gathering at Navlakhi Maidan today stands as a tribute to Dada Bhagvan's legacy and enlightenment. On this occasion, the Chief Minister highlighted that aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of 'Vikas Bhi Aur Virasat Bhi', a commemorative postage stamp featuring Dada Bhagvan has been released.
He said that celebrating Dada Bhagvan's 117th birth anniversary along with the release of the stamp adds further significance to the event.
The Chief Minister appealed to all present to make the most of the Gyan ceremony, encouraging them to focus on self-improvement rather than finding faults in others. In conclusion, he urged everyone to pray for a smooth journey on their path to salvation, declaring, "It is my day of knowledge."
During the program, the commemorative postal stamp was released by Deepak Bhai, Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, and Shri Dinesh Sharma, representative of the Union Ministry of Communications and Vadodara Postal Master General, said press release.
The Chief Minister and other dignitaries performed Aarti, symbolizing their reverence and hope. Later, they enjoyed the cultural programs. The event was attended by Mayor Pinky Soni, MP Dr Hemang Joshi, Chief Whip Shri Balkrishna Shukla, BJP City President Vijay Shah, MLA Shri Keyur Rokadiya, Manisha Vakil, Yogesh Patel, Chairman of the Standing Committee Sheetal Mistry, Commissioner of Police Shri Narasimha Komar, District Collector BA Shah, along with numerous public representatives and a large gathering of devotees and pilgrims.
