Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], October 2 (ANI) Three people were apprehended on Wednesday for illegally carrying Ganja worth Rs 12 lakhs on the Godavari Express from Visakhapatnam to Hyderabad, according to Excise STF.
Authorities received information that three people were transporting Ganja on the Godavari Express from Visakhapatnam to Hyderabad.
Acting on a tip-off received by Director of Enforcement VB Kamalasan Reddy, the STF team nabbed the suspects Wednesday morning at Secunderabad Railway Station.
"The arrested individuals are Saidulu from Uttar Pradesh and Suman Sen and Md Sohel from West Bengal", said Excise PRO.
They were carrying 20 kg each of Ganja packed in bags while travelling on the Godavari Express to Hyderabad. The estimated value of the ganja is Rs 12lakhs. The cannabis seizure was made by an STF team led by Pradeep Rao and accompanied by Sub-Inspectors Balaraju and Sandhya. (ANI)
