New Delhi [India], November 17 (ANI): Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram attended Bodoland Mahotsav in the national capital on Saturday evening and said that the tribal communities in the country are happy with the work done by his government for them.
Speaking to ANI at Bodoland Mahotsav, Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram said, "PM Modi is encouraging us to work for tribal communities...tribal community is very happy."
He also claimed that the Union government had never allocated funds like this for the tribal communities before.
In a post on X, Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram shared the images from the event and wrote "Attended Bodoland Mahotsav in New Delhi this evening."

"The two-day Mahotsav is a grand celebration of language, literature, and culture, aimed at fostering peace and nurturing a vibrant Bodo community. It's widely celebrated to promote unity among the Indigenous people," his post further reads.
Earlier, PM Modi inaugurated the first Bodoland Mohotsav, a two-day mega event on language, literature, and culture to sustain peace and build a vibrant Bodo society.

Noting that the Bodo community has faced many challenges but has shown immense resilience and commitment to peace, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Friday that coming to the Bodoland Mahotsav is a very emotional moment for him and the affection from the Bodo community is something he greatly cherishes.
PM Modi said the government is committed to ensuring progress and prosperity for the vibrant Bodo community. He said the Bodo community has also shown violence can never solve any problem.
"You cannot imagine how emotional this moment is for me. Maybe, these people sitting in air-conditioned rooms in Delhi, those who give different kinds of theories have no idea how big this opportunity is. Fifty years of bloodshed, violence for 50 years, youths of three-four generations lost their lives to this violence... after so many decades, Bodo is celebrating a festival today.," PM Modi said.
PM Modi said that after the Bodo Peace Accord, Bodoland witnessed a new wave of growth. (ANI)
