Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], October 15 (ANI): Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy participated in the foundation stone laying ceremony of Very Low Frequency (VLF) Naval Establishment at Naval Site, situated in Pudur Mandal in Vikarabad to bolster the Navy's operational readiness on Tuesday.
During the event, Revanth Reddy said "Telangana state is going to play a vital role in the defence sector in the country. Hyderabad assumed a significant role in Defence and NFC in the areas of the defence sector."
"Some political forces are trying to create controversy on the VLF. They are creating misconceptions that injustice will be meted to the Telangana people by the VLF", he added further.
The Chief Minister also highlighted a similar exercise that happened in 1990 and reminded people that no harm had taken place to the people in that state.

He appealed to the people to understand the need for this project by saying, " It is a matter of pride that the second VLF is coming up in our region in the country."
"The forces that are trying to create controversy should think about national defence. We survive only if the country exists. Our region will develop when we exist, he added further.

In the speech, he also said that this project is like an eye-opener for the people who are creating political controversies on the project meant for the defence of the country.
Revanth Reddy said, "The decisions of transfer of lands and allocation of funds are already taken in the previous government in 2017."
"The state government continued the project soon after the instructions from Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. Instructed the officials to start the works without compromising India's defence sector", he added.
The chief minister also appealed to the environmentalists to think about environmental protection to provide safety to the people of the state.
Revanth Reddy also assured the people that his government will extend full support to the VLF, appealing the Union Minister Rajnath Singh to allow people to visit Ramalingeswara Swamy temple.
"We respect the sentiments and faith of the people and hence permit people to visit the temple," he said. (ANI)
