Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], October 11 (ANI): Taking immediate cognizance of the farmer's problem, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Friday took immediate action for installation of an electricity pole for a tubewell for irrigation in the fields. After the instruction of the Chief Minister, the concerned department got an electricity pole installed in his field on the same day.
At the Mukhya Sevak Sadan located at the Chief Minister's residence, a farmer from Haridwar requested the Chief Minister to install an electricity pole for a tubewell for irrigation in the fields. The Chief Minister took immediate cognizance of the farmer's problem. As a result, today itself the department got an electricity pole installed in his field, an official release said.
Farmer Sanjay Singh, a resident of Udalheri Mangalore, met CM Dhami and informed him that he has taken a tubewell connection for irrigation in his field from Udalheri Mangalore Power House, District Haridwar for the last four months. He said that the neighbouring farmer, is not allowing the pole to be installed for electricity in his field.
He also said that whenever any officer from the power house goes to draw the line with a lineman, he returns due to their opposition, due to which the crop is reaching the verge of drying.

Sanjay Singh requested the Chief Minister to direct the officials of the electricity department to get the power line in his field so that the crops of more than ten farmers would be saved.
The Chief Minister Dhami directed the officials of the Energy Corporation to take immediate action. In line with the instructions of the CM, the Energy Corporation installed the pole on the spot with the help of police and other departments. (ANI)
