Sri Vijaynagar: Medals and Trophies Light Up Winning Players' Faces
Sri Vijaynagar: The district-level football tournament for 17 and 19-year-old students concluded at PM Shri Rajkiya Higher Secondary School, Sri Vijaynagar.
The chief guest was Nagar Palika Chairman Rajendra Legha. Special guests included Tehsildar Vivek Chaudhary, President of Vyapar Sangh Devi Dayal Lakhotiya, Devendra Pal Kamra, President of Lions Club, Kamal Kukkad, Bhama Shah Pritam Kamra, Bhama Shah Rakesh Jakhar, Dr. Nakshatra Singh, AP Singh Danewalia, Principal Narendra Prajapati, Dalip Mehra, Principal Rakesh Sokhal, Anil Mahra, Diamond Club's Ranveer Barar, Sarpanch Sonu Dharmveer Saharan, and Principal Kavita Verma.
In the 19-year-old boys' category, the team from Pioneer Senior Secondary School, Srivijaynagar, defeated Mahatma Gandhi Rajkiya Vidyalaya, Srivijaynagar, in the final match to emerge victorious. The tournament organizer, Deputy Principal Sukhpal Singh, announced the conclusion of the tournament.
318 Players Showcase Their Skills
Sports in-charge Budh Ram Jala said that a total of 318 players from 7 teams in the 17-year-old boys' category, 5 teams in the 17-year-old girls' category, 6 teams in the 19-year-old boys' category, and 4 teams in the 19-year-old girls' category participated in the tournament.
The winners and runners-up in each category were awarded trophies and medals. The winners were Raumavi Bhadwaanwala in the 17-year-old boys' category and Guru Harikishan Public School, 11 PS, in the 17-year-old girls' category. In the 19-year-old category, the winners were Pioneer Senior Secondary School, Srivijaynagar, and Mahatma Gandhi Rajkiya Vidyalaya, Srivijaynagar, respectively.
