BHUBANESWAR: D.A.V. School of Business Management organised DSBM GENESIS 2K24, a state-level management event in Bhubaneswar on November 17, 2024.
Students from different higher secondary schools and junior colleges across Odisha participated in sub-events such as quiz, Ad Mad Show, paper presentation and treasure hunt.
The GENESIS aimed at providing an ideal platform to the young minds to ignite, ideate and develop analytical skills as well as demonstrate their knowledge and ability.
Satya Sundar Mahasuar, AGM (Finance), NALCO, Bhubaneswar, participated in the inaugural of trhe event as the chief guest. He emphasised on the importance of learning beyond syllabus, enhancing reading ability and communication and adopting technology.
Dr. Dukhabandhu Sahoo, Professor, IIT, Bhubaneswar, who was the guest of honour, advised the students to focus on the ‘Standard Operating Practices’ (SOP) of employability skills.
Ashok Kumar Behera, Executive Director, OMC Limited, graced the valedictory and praised the participants of the event for their enthusiasm. He lauded the BBA and B.Com students for their organisational skills in making the event a grand success.
M. Panda, Chairman, DSBM, encouraged the budding talent to leverage such opportunities to nurture their employability skills.
Winners’ list
The team from DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur emerged as the champions in quiz while Mother’s Public School team bagged the 1st runner-up trophy and DAV Public School, Pokhariput team emerged as the second runner-up.
In paper presentation event, DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur, team bagged the winner’s trophy while DAV Public School, Unit-8, team and DAV Public School, Kansbahal, team were adjudged first and second runner-up.
The winner of the Ad-Mad Show was DAV Public School, Kalinga Area (MCL) while PMSHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya No-1 stood first runner-up followed by DAV Public School, Kalinga Nagar, as the second runner-up.
DAV Public School, Pokhariput team won the Treasure Hunt event.
