IIM-Bangalore Launches Executive General Management Programme in Pune

HYDERABAD: The Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIMB) is launching its 71st cohort of the Executive General Management Programme (EGMP) in Pune. This programme is specifically designed for working professionals living in Pune and its neighbouring cities.

IIM Bangalore’s EGMP is a part-time programme designed for experienced professionals. The 10-month programme offers a rigorous curriculum delivered through a blend of in-person sessions at IIM Bangalore, in-person sessions in Pune, and live online modules.

This flexible format minimises travel and accommodation costs while ensuring participants receive the same high-quality education from IIM, Bangalore.

The last date to register for the programme is October 7, 2024 and the programme will commence on November 4, 2024.

To register, students can visit the official IIM Bangalore website — eep.iimb.ac.in — and do a keyword search for “EGMP Pune”.

How to apply for EGMP Pune

Step 1: Log on to https://iimberpsrv.iimb.ac.in/prod/sfeep.home for registering and applying online

Step 2: The programme is listed under the “Long Duration Programme” Tab.

Step 3: Click apply online

Step 4: New users need to create an account and existing users need to sign in

Step 5: Login and submit the application

Step 6: Await selection

Step 7: Receive offer letter

Step 8: Accept offer and make the initial payment

Step 9: Join the programme

The EGMP Pune marks a significant expansion of IIM Bangalore’s Executive Education offerings, making its renowned management programme more accessible to a wider audience, an official release said.

Who should apply

The programme is ideal for mid-career professionals aspiring to senior management roles. The selection process is based on the years of experience, the quality of experience, educational background, and diversity related metrics. The minimum eligibility is graduation with a minimum of five years of industry experience.

On successful completion of the programme, participants are granted the IIM Bangalore Executive Education Programme Alumni status that allows them to be a part of the global IIMB alumni network.

“Pune is the hub for reputed manufacturing units, IT companies, GCCs, and the armed forces but professionals in Pune do not have access to high-quality management programs from globally renowned B-Schools. This initiative from IIMB will help working executives in Pune consume a world class program,” media reports quoted S. Parthasarathy, the Chief Programme Officer, Executive Education Programmes as saying.
