The Deceptive Plan by Devraj Indra

Karna’s life was marked by generosity, which ultimately led to his downfall. His armor and earrings made him undefeatable, but Devraj Indra, the king of gods, sought to protect his son Arjun and devised a deceitful plan to strip Karna of his divine protection.

Indra disguised himself as a beggar and approached Karna while he was praying to the Sun God, asking for his armor and earrings as alms. Despite being warned by the Sun God about Indra’s intentions, Karna, true to his nature, honored the request and willingly gave them away. This act of selflessness left Karna vulnerable, leading to his eventual defeat at the hands of Arjun, as orchestrated by Lord Krishna.

Where Are the Kavach and Kundal Now?

Even after acquiring the Kavach and Kundal, Devraj Indra was forbidden from taking them to heaven because they were obtained through deceit. To conceal them, he hid these artifacts on the shore of a sea. However, Chandra Dev (the Moon God) attempted to claim them, only to be intercepted by Samudra Dev (the Sea God). Since then, the Kavach and Kundal have been under the protection of Samudra Dev and Surya Dev.

The Hidden Treasure of Konark

It is said that Karna’s armor and earrings are hidden near Konark, close to Puri. The location is considered inaccessible to mortals, ensuring that the immense power associated with these artifacts does not fall into the wrong hands.
