Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who inaugurated the UP Pavilion at the India International Trade Fair in New Delhi on Saturday, said that Uttar Pradesh has become a key hub for the MSME sector. He added UP was seen as a barrier to India’s development before 2017-18. Now, Uttar Pradesh displays its unlimited potential as a state.
“Uttar Pradesh was once untouched by development and viewed as a barrier to India's progress. However, the situation has completely changed. Today, UP is a key hub for the country's MSME sector, with 96 lakh micro, small, and medium enterprises,” CM Yogi Adityanath told the gathering while targeting the previous governments.
He said the state’s good law and order situation has enhanced the confidence of investors. The UP is now attracting investment proposals worth up to Rs 40 lakh crore, he further added.
Referring to his government’s One District One Project (ODOP), he further said the government was inspired by the PM and then introduced this project. According to him, it has transformed the lives of millions of UP entrepreneurs through this project, besides generating employment opportunities for the youths.
He also added the India International Trade Fair, the largest trade fair in Asia, provides Indian MSME entrepreneurs a significant platform to showcase their products to the world. He also recalled that his government has been promoting UP's products through the UP International Trade Show, held in Greater Noida since the last one year. Besides over 2,000 Indian exhibitors, a significant number of foreign entrepreneurs participate in the event. This year, UP entrepreneurs received orders worth up to Rs 10,000 crores, CM Yogi mentioned in his speech.
He also said that the products from various districts under the ODOP project are being showcased in the UP Pavilion at the Bharat Mandapam trade fair. He highlighted a range of products, including sports goods from Meerut, silk sarees from Banaras, chikankari from Lucknow, and brass items from Moradabad.
CM Yogi added that the the collaboration between the central and the state governments
CM Yogi emphasized that the MSME entrepreneurs now have no dearth of orders due to the collaboration between the Central and State Governments. The government continues to support these entrepreneurs by organizing trade fairs and assisting with product design and packaging.
