November looks promising for Malayalam cinema as the OTT platforms are all set for major releases. From superstar Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan to Jr NTR’s Devara: Part 1, the various streaming platforms will soon be offering a plethora of entertainment across various genres. Viewers will be able to engage with content that offers them action, drama, thriller, suspense, and love story. Vettaiyan (Amazon Prime Video)

Superstar Rajinikanth will once again set the screens on fire with his charisma and style after Jailer. His film, Vettaiyan has been grabbing the spotlight for its star-studded cast which also includes Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, and Rana Daggubati, The film will stream on Amazon Prime from November 8. Vettaiyan is directed by TJ Gnanavel. It also stars Manju Warrier, Rohini, Abhirami, and Dushara Vijayan to name a few. It is centered on a senior police officer, Athiyan, who accidentally shoots an innocent person during an encounter.

Ajayante Randam Moshanam ( ARM) (Disney+ Hotstar)

Ajayante Randam Moshanam is a period drama which is directed by debutante Jithin Laal. The film stars Tovino Thomas in triple roles and Krithi Shetty. After a successful theatrical run, the film is all set to stream on the OTT platform from November 8. It narrates the story of three men- Maniyan, Kunjikelu, and Ajayan from different generations and offers a unique storytelling style that will hook the audience. Kuttavum Shikshayum (Netflix)

Kuttavum Shikshayum is a crime drama helmed by Rajeev Ravi. It is backed by Arun Kumar VR under the banner of Film Roll Productions. The film is headlined by Asif Ali and also stars Sunny Wayne, Alencier Ley Lopez, and Senthil Krishna. The film is a real-life adaptation of a jewelry robbery case in Kerala’s Kasargod. As the investigation begins, the hunt for the culprits sends the police on a nationwide hunt. The film premiered on Netflix on November 5.

It narrates the story of unforeseen events that occur on Vincent Kariya’s wedding day which results in his mood changes. Sattam En Kaiyil (Netflix)
Tamil film Sattam En Kaiyil is a thriller that will be released in Malayalam. Directed by Chachi, the film stars Sathish in the lead along with Ajay Raj, Pavel Navageethan, Mime Gopi, Rithika Tamil Selvi, and Vidya Pradeep among others. The film narrates the story of Gowtham who gets into an accident and then hides the deceased in his car. Later, he gets arrested for drunk driving, and his car gets impounded by the police. What happens next forms the plot of the film. Sattam En Kaiyil will be released on Netflix on November 8.

Lucky Baskhar (Netflix)
Dulquer Salmaan’s Lucky Baskhar is a Tamil thriller that will be available in Malayalam language. It is a period film written and directed by Venky Atluri. Upon the release of the film, the actor was heaped with praises for delivering a fine performance. Lucky Baskhar is gearing up to premiere on Netflix soon. The film also stars Meenakshi Chaudhary, Ayesha Khan, Hyper Aadi, and P Sai Kumar. It is a film set in the 80s and showcases a cashier working at a bank who ends up investing in a risky scheme and soon gets pulled into the dark world of money laundering.

Devara: Part 1 (Netflix)
Jr NTR and Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor’s one of the highly-anticipated films is all slated to stream on Netflix from November 8. The Telugu action drama will also be released in Malayalam. Devara: Part 1 is written and directed by Koratala Sivca and bankrolled by Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts. It also stars Saif Ali Khan, Prakash Raj, and Shine Tom Chacko. The first installment of the film is about the chieftain of a coastal village, Devara discovering a smuggling business. What started as a personal vendetta soon turned into a threat to the region.
