An young Indian cricket team led by Suryakumar Yadav is all set to face South Africa, first time after clinching the T20 World Cup against the hosts in June this year.
The four match T20I series between India and South Africa is scheduled to begin today at Kingsmead Cricket Stadium in Durban.
The second T20I, scheduled for November 10, will be hosted at St George's Park in Gqeberha, while the third game scheduled for November 13 will be played SuperSport Park in Centurion. The fourth and final T20I will be at Wanderers Stadium on November 15.
The recent T20I series against Bangladesh gave India its potential future openers, with Sanju Samson impressing with a rapid 111 off 47 balls, making a case for his role in the post-Rohit Sharma lineup. Meanwhile, Abhishek Sharma, despite a standout century against Zimbabwe, aims for consistency, especially with his left-arm spin.
Tilak Varma, keen to regain his form, has added off-spin to his arsenal and will be key in taking off India's top order.
The fast-bowling lineup, featuring Arshdeep Singh, Avesh Khan, Vyshak Vijaykumar, and Yash Dayal, will be scrutinized, with Vyshak and Dayal hoping to transition their domestic and IPL successes to the international stage. Ramandeep Singh, a valuable all-rounder and retained by KKR for his IPL contributions, also seeks to make an impact.

Ind vs SA: Durban pitch report
The first T20I will be played at Kingsmead and the pitch in Durban is expected to offer early assistance to seam bowlers, with genuine movement available for pacers using the new ball. However, as the game progresses, the surface settles, making it favorable for batters with true pace and bounce, allowing high-scoring opportunities.
Spinners may find little support here.
