Actor Suriya recently appeared on the popular Telugu talk show Unstoppable with NBK, hosted by Nandamuri Balakrishna, where he discussed everything from his favorite foods to his acting career. However, it was a playful moment involving his younger brother Karthi that stole the show. While Suriya remained tight-lipped about his childhood crush, Karthi didn't hold back, teasing his brother about his past crush on actress Gautami.

Suriya's Hesitant Revelation

During the conversation, Balakrishna asked Suriya about his first crush. While Suriya joked about being a "late bloomer," meaning it took him time to experience and understand the feelings of a crush, he avoided naming anyone specifically. He simply shared, “It took time to understand crush and everything. I am a late bloomer.”

Balakrishna, eager to get to the bottom of the story, called up Karthi to add some insights. Karthi quickly confirmed what many may have already guessed: Suriya’s childhood crush was none other than Gautami, the renowned actress known for her role in the 1993 hit Gentleman. Karthi playfully remarked, "He likes one actress a lot. There’s a song called 'Chikubuku Raile,'” referring to the iconic dance number featuring Gautami alongside Prabhu Deva.

Karthi’s Playful Tease and Suriya’s Embarrassment

When Balakrishna probed further, Karthi continued to tease his older brother, saying, “Since childhood, Suriya has been lying about many things.” Suriya, visibly embarrassed, responded in Telugu, jokingly calling Karthi “dangerous like a knife,” in reference to his brother's ability to spill secrets.

The song Chikubuku Raile, featuring Gautami in Gentleman, holds a special place in Suriya's heart, and this revelation delighted fans who hadn’t heard much about his early crush.

Suriya's Upcoming Projects

On the work front, Suriya is preparing for the release of Kanguva, a period action drama directed by Siruthai Siva. The movie, slated for a grand release on November 14, will see Suriya in dual roles, portraying both a warrior and a contemporary man. Alongside Suriya, Bollywood stars Disha Patani and Bobby Deol will also be seen in significant roles. Suriya, who has been busy with promotions for the film, is also working on other projects, including an untitled film with director Karthik Subbaraj.

Karthi's Projects and the Sibling Dynamic

Meanwhile, Karthi, who was last seen in Meiyazhagan, is currently shooting for Vaa Vaathiyaar and Sardar 2. Despite their constant public appearances together, the duo has yet to star in a movie together, although Suriya has hinted that this will happen soon.

The brothers share a close bond, often joking and teasing each other in public. Their camaraderie was clearly visible during the Unstoppable with NBK episode, where Karthi's playful teasing of Suriya revealed some unexpected details about the actor's past.

As Kanguva builds anticipation ahead of its release, fans can look forward to not just the action-packed film but also a deeper glimpse into the personal lives of the beloved actor siblings. Suriya and Karthi continue to entertain and captivate audiences, both on and off-screen.
