Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday reached out to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge to inquire about his health following an incident during Kharge’s rally in Jammu and Kashmir.
Kharge, who fell ill while addressing the rally in Kathua district on Sunday, had to pause his speech and receive medical assistance on stage. Congress leaders also confirmed that the party president is now stable.
Despite the health scare, Kharge continued his speech, taking direct aim at the Modi government, accusing it of delaying the restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir and governing the region through "remote control."
The Congress leader pledged that his party would continue fighting for J&K's statehood, emphasizing his commitment to the cause, stating, "I will stay alive until PM Modi is removed from power."

He also accused PM Modi of pushing the country's youth into unemployment, claiming that India is facing its highest joblessness rate in 45 years under the current government.
