Sanju Samson became the first Indian batter to score consecutive centuries in T20 internationals. The opener created the record in the first T20I against South Africa in Durban.
The batter made full use of the powerplay and scored 35 runs of 20 balls, even after losing his opening partner Abhishek Sharma early. He continued to attack the South African bowlers even after the powerplay.
Samson reached his milestone of 47 balls, and ended with 107 runs. His innings included seven fours and 10 sixes as India played aggressively after being asked to bat first.

Recently. the 29-year-old was retained by Rajasthan Royals for Rs 18 crore for IPL 2025. He will also lead the franchise, which has appointed former India coach Rahul Dravid as the head coach.
