Team India have been dealt with a major injury concern, a week out from the first Test against Australia at the Optus Stadium in Perth as Shubman Gill hurt his hand while fielding on day two of the simulation practice match at the WACA. The right-handed batter did not take the field after hurting his hand.
The Punjab-born batter had hurt his hand while fielding in the slips. However, it's yet to be determined whether the injury is serious enough to rule him out of the Perth Test. Although Gill has been batting at No.3 since Cheteshwar Pujara was phased out of the Test side, but was likely to open the innings as Rohit Sharma was unlikely to play in the series opener.
Shubman Gill is one of the finest talent in world cricket currently, sheer class and fantastic temperament. His Gabba innings is one of the best innings in a run chase.

It was in the previous tour of Australia that Gill made his Test debut during the Melbourne Test, scoring 45 in the first innings of that game and stayed unbeaten on 35 in the second. The 25-year-old played a career-defining knock of 91 in the fourth innings of the final Test at the Gabba in Brisbane to help India clinch the series.
Rohit Sharma could be up and running for the opening Test:
Having announced the birth of his second child, Rohit could feature in the first Test against Australia in Perth, beginning on November 22. The right-handed batter had not travelled with the Indian team and stayed home for what emerged as 'personal reasons'.
