Online classified company Info Edge reported a 64.6% decline in its net profit to INR 84.73 Cr in the September quarter of the financial year 2024-25 (Q2 FY25) from INR 239.74 Cr in the same quarter last year.
The Sanjeev Bikhchandani-led company also saw a 67% decrease in its bottomline on a quarter-on-quarter basis from INR 258.85 Cr in the April to June quarter.
On the other hand, revenue from operations increased nearly 12% to INR 700.82 Cr during the quarter under review, compared to INR 625.84 Cr in the year-ago period.
The company’s total expenses surged to INR 492.11 Cr in the reported quarter, up 8% from INR 455.34 Cr in the corresponding quarter last year.
Founded in 1995 by Sanjeev Bikhchandani, InfoEdge is one of India’s oldest internet-based companies which operates across sectors such as recruitment (Naukri.com), real estate (99acres.com), matrimony (jeevansathi.com) and education (shiksha.com).
