The name of this scheme is Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana which started in the year 2015. Under this scheme, those who are eligible are given financial help by the government to build a permanent house. At present, a large number of people are associated with this scheme.

What should be the annual income?

To see whether you are eligible for the PM Awas Yojana or not, one thing has to be seen and that is your income. This scheme can be availed by those people whose family annual income is not more than Rs 3 lakh. If you are in this category, then you can take advantage of the scheme.

On the other hand, some people cannot take advantage of this scheme. This includes first of all those people who already have a pucca house, secondly those who have a government job or there is a government employee in the family, people who pay tax or whose annual income is more than the prescribed limit, etc.

What is the benefit?

The PM Awas Yojana is run by the Central Government and at present a large number of people are associated with this scheme who have benefited or are benefiting. After joining this scheme, you are given financial help by the government to build a pucca house.
