In this sensational case, the accused has been identified as Rafiq Ahmed alias Sonu, who brutally murdered his neighbor Irfan. Police investigation revealed that the deceased Irfan and Rafiq's wife had an illicit relationship for the last six years, due to which Rafiq was angry. On the night of September 16, Rafiq took Irfan on the pretext of taking him for a walk and killed him. Both Rafiq and Irfan were from the same village and were neighbors of each other in Jaipur too.

A young man was murdered due to illicit relations

Revealing the case, Additional DCP North Ranu Sharma said that the accused Rafiq Ahmed alias Sonu is a resident of Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh and the deceased Irfan was also from Bareilly. Both had come to Jaipur a few years ago for labour work and were living as neighbours in a rented house in Subhash Chowk police station area. Rafiq's wife had started visiting Irfan's house frequently, which made Rafiq suspicious. Later he saw his wife and Irfan in an objectionable situation, which convinced him that there was an illicit relationship between the two.

Neighbor friend suspected

Police further said that deceased Irfan and accused Rafiq's wife had been having an illicit relationship for the past six years, which had become unbearable for Rafiq. Rafiq and his wife often quarrelled over this. Due to this tension, Rafiq hatched a conspiracy to kill Irfan. On the night of September 16, Rafiq called Irfan to a field near Langdiawas on the pretext of a liquor party. While drinking there, Rafiq killed Irfan by repeatedly hitting him on the head and face with a heavy stone and fled from there.

Illegal relations were going on for 6 years

It was difficult to identify Irfan after his body was found soaked in blood in the field on the morning of 17 September. After this, the police started investigating the case with the help of dog squad team and CCTV footage. In a footage, the police saw Rafiq and Irfan buying liquor. After this, the police took Rafiq into custody, where he confessed his crime during interrogation and told that he killed Irfan because of his wife's illicit relationship.

A murder plot was hatched on the pretext of a liquor party

This entire incident once again proves that rift in relationships and illegal affairs sometimes lead to violent crimes. Due to the promptness and thorough investigation of the police, the case was soon solved, and the accused was arrested.
