According to the police, this 62-year-old woman was having a property dispute with her two young sons. The surprising thing is that both the sons were strongly against the mother on this issue and there was often a fight between them regarding the division of property. But no one had any idea that this fight would take such a horrific form. According to the police, on Saturday too, the woman had a dispute with her two sons, but the boys, who got angry, first tied their mother to a tree and before anyone could understand anything, both of them sprinkled oil on her and set her on fire. Yes, both the brothers burnt their mother alive who was tied to the tree. When the police got information about the incident and reached the spot, the mother had been burnt to ashes. Officials said that the police team found only the burnt body of the woman tied to the tree on the spot. With the help of local people, it was taken down and sent for postmortem.

Both sons who killed their mother were arrested

In the subsequent action, both the sons were traced and arrested. Police said that initial investigation has revealed that both the sons killed their mother due to property dispute. Jirania Kamal Sub-Divisional Police Officer Krishna Koloi told the media that - "After receiving information about a woman being set on fire, a police team reached there and found the burnt body tied to a tree. We took the body to the hospital for postmortem." He further said, "We have arrested her two sons for alleged involvement in the case. They will be produced in court and police remand will also be sought for interrogation. Family dispute is suspected to be behind the incident."

Second such incident in 2024

In early 2024, another similar incident came to light in which a 26-year-old woman was set on fire inside a park in Sector 35, Chandigarh. Her boyfriend tried to burn the woman alive in a fit of rage after a quarrel and dispute over their relationship. After being caught, the accused claimed that he was innocent, instead blaming the victim woman, he told the police that after the dispute over the 'break-up' and their last meeting, she tried to commit suicide by setting herself on fire in a fit of rage. Eyewitnesses also said that after the fire broke out, the accused ran to save her and used his T-shirt to extinguish the flames. However, despite his efforts to extinguish the fire, he was not successful in saving the woman's life.
