The Umaid Bhawan Palace of Jodhpur is one of the largest private residences in the world. The palace is owned by Maharaja Gaj Singh Ji, a member of the royal family of Jodhpur. The construction of the palace began in 1929 and was completed in 1943. Currently, the palace is divided into three parts, the first part of which houses the Taj Palace Hotel, the second part houses the royal family and the third part houses the museum.

City Palace, Jaipur

Jai Vilas Palace was built by Maharaja Jayaji Rao Scindia in 1874. Michael Philos was the architect who designed this grand structure and incorporated the European style of architecture in his designs. The three floors of this palace have different styles of architecture. The first is in Tuscan style, the second in Italian Doric, and the third in Corinthian style. The erstwhile royal seat is now a museum, known as Jiwaji Rao Scindia Museum.
