Jhansi Fort is situated on the top of Bagira Hill. It was built by Raja Bir Singh Dev in the 17th century. A part of this fort was destroyed during the 1857 War of Independence. The fort also has a temple of Lord Ganesha and a museum. The War Memorial and Rani Laxmibai Park located here are the center of attraction for tourists. This fort is counted among the highest forts in India.

You can also visit the Government Museum of Jhansi. It is one of the oldest museums. The fort is spread over 15 acres. The granite walls in the fort are 16 to 20 feet thick.
