B&M shoppers rave over 'amazing' £20 gadget that keeps you warm during winter

Send Push

Savvy shoppers have found the perfect way to beat the chill this winter.

Balmy temperatures and clear blue skies are officially a distant memory, as more than 50 flood warnings have been issued across the UK today (September 30). It comes as weather maps have started to turn icy blue, with temperatures predicted to plummet below zero in many parts of the country in just a few weeks time.

These miserable weather conditions coincide with Ofgem's energy price cap increase, which is set at an average of £1,717 a year for a typical dual-fuel household paying by direct debit. That's an average spike of 10% per household or £149 per year, if the energy cap maintains for 12 months.

While heating your home to prevent pipes from freezing and black mould growing is important during the colder months, many experts preach the mantra 'Heat the person, not the room' when it comes to staying warm in the winter without breaking the bank. Gadgets like heated blankets are a great example, allowing Brits to stay cosy without having their energy bills skyrocket due to their low wattage.

B&M has jumped on this with a range of winter warmers that people are going absolutely crazy for. "Everything I've ever needed and more! Cosy season, we're ready for you!" the budget retailer captioned a post showing off its Massaging Foot Warmer (£20).

The cult fave item is essentially like a big slipper with a removable base that can heat up and is said to help alleviate 'tired muscles' with its massage function. Other products in the line including Heated Slippers (£20), Heated Cushion (£12), Heated Lumbar Belt (£20), Vibrating Neck Wrap with Eye Mask (£12) and Rechargeable Hot Water Bottle (£15).

Dozens of Brits flocked to the comments section on B&M's social media pages to hail the gadgets, with many tagging their friends and family to share the news.

"Hooray, thank the lord," one user raved. "It is just what l need. Being an arthritis suffer, it's so painful for me when the cold and damp is here."

Another agreed, commenting: "Amazing! I need all of these." A third added: "That's us sorted for winter!" while a fourth penned: "We won't need the heating on I'll just sit in the corner with this lot."

However, one user didn't seem too keen on the range, joking that just seeing the products made him feel 'sweaty' already. So what do you think? Let us know in the comments below.
