Coldplay ticket sale leaves fans 'physically sick' as they point out huge error

Send Push

Coldplay fans were left fuming over the chaos when pre-sale tickets for their Music of the Spheres Tour 2025 went on sale.

The band have been on tour since 2022, with the tour starting in South America. Earlier this year, they performed in the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Romania, Italy, Germany and more. Their next set of tour dates on sale are for Hull and Wembley Stadium in London.

As the clock hit 9am, chaos ensued as fans rushed to purchase pre-sale tickets ahead of the general sale tomorrow. Fans rushed to social media to share their complaints, with many questioning how they're so far back in the queue of over 150,000 people when they've been waiting since 6am. Others were shocked to see so many people in the queue when the general sale hadn't even happened yet. One user said: "It’s so f**ked up everything about this presale has been s***ty wtf."

One person wasn't able to get tickets due to an issue with the website. They said: "@coldplay @TicketmasterUK absolutely devastated absolute joke.. been taken in circles, signed in several times, it constantly asks me to join the queue.. and then sign in another @TicketmasterUK f**k up!! So so gutted."

One fan was told they were using the wrong e-mail address even when it wasn't the case. They fumed: "Coldplay pre-sale. WHAT A JOKE!! I set up an account in Ticketmaster but now tells me I’m using the wrong email address. PATHETIC!!!" Others were disappointed by the ticket scalpers flooding social media with higher-priced tickets.

They said: "I just don’t understand. I know 99% of them are scams but it’s so fucking unfair. I’m just a normal Coldplay fan with a code in at 9am, like I was told to and I’m 163,000th in the queue but yet there’s people already selling f**king tickets." Another posted: "@TicketmasterUK will send the therapist bill because the anxiety you’re putting me through with these fucking presale is crazy."

The London and Hull dates were quick to appear on re-sell website, StubHub, where some tickets were going for over £1,200. Wembley tickets were going from £723. "Open to all and very little sign of any attempted control on resale so no surprise really but disappointing as ever. Currently at 95k in queue!!" one person said about the re-sell prices.

Before the tickets went on sale, fans were already panicking as Ticketmaster only showed details for the general sale tickets. Writing on X/ Twitter, one person said: “Can you tell me why the Ticketmaster website isn’t showing presale option when clicking on the presale code link? Assume it will be updated in time for the rush of tickets?”

One person responded: “Same problem here.” A third person said: “I keep reloading but nothing happens I'm getting worried.”
