Israel has vowed to attack Iran tonight - after Iran fired approximately 200 missiles today.
Iran's attack was in reprisal for its foe's invasion of Lebanon, and saw repeated waves of ballistic missiles arrow into Benjamin Netanyahu's country. The Israeli military has told its citizens to shelter this evening.
And now the military, known as Israel Defense Forces (IDF), has said the nation is ready to fight back tonight. Its translated statement reads: "There is no damage to the competence of the Air Force and it will continue to attack tonight in the Middle East in a powerful way."
In a separate message, Daniel Hagari, the spokesperson for the IDF, pledged that the attack “will have consequences”. He added that the country remained on high alert. The situation across Israel and the region is extremely tense tonight.
