Louise Thompson has been rushed in for emergency surgery after suffering from .
The former Made In Chelsea star has been in hospital for almost two weeks after suffering agonising pain in her abdomen. The mum-of-one's fiance, Ryan Libbey, updated Louise's fans on her health on the couple's podcast, sharing: "I don’t know how much more she can take.
"Sadly Louise is not here this week. She had to go back into hospital almost two weeks ago for another emergency operation in the same tummy area that she's been recovering from since earlier this year with her stoma surgery. It was completely unexpected."
Ryan added: "I can't believe we're back in this situation. My heart beat is skipping around all over the place which is an indication of how heavy and raw it all feels. It's very unexpected and a difficult pill to swallow."
Revealing that Louise had been rushed to A&E at 3.30am nine days ago, he concluded: "It's completely broken me. Her recovery has been up and down. Post-surgery she was in septic shock, which shows the severity of how bad things got."
Louise has spoken candidly about her health woes after suffering an agonising birth with her son, Leo, in 2021. The reality star and columnist had to undergo an emergency caesarean, but ended up losing three-and-a-half litres of blood when doctors failed to stop a haemorrhage for over three hours.
She was later told that her womb had torn, which had caused the bleeding, and she recalled everyone feeling distressed. She now has a stoma due to her long-term battle with ulcerative colitis but is determined to be open about her health to help others.
Speaking about her traumatic birth and her general health during a chat on in September, she said: "No one really knew how to support me ... I couldn't function at all. The lights were on but no one was home. Someone had turned a dimmer switch on my entire life. It's not just buy a new dress, have a cup of tea, have a bath. All of your senses are off.
"I thought, if I could pretend, I'd get there one day. It was a traumatic time for everyone. I couldn't really speak for a while; I was non-verbal. I could just write, so some of that went into the book. It was hard, and I think my family did everything they could."
She added: "I was very sick, and I came very close to dying. A lot of it has left me very scarred ... I would say to Ryan, I want to get better because I love you. I didn't feel it, I wanted to die. I said if I can pretend then maybe I'll get there one day."
