Missing Victoria Taylor's last known steps and mysterious CCTV image before vanishing

What began as an ordinary Monday morning for the family of descended into a living nightmare.

The mum, who is believed to work as a nurse in a nursing home, was last seen at her home in at around 9am on Monday, October 1. Officers have been able to track some of Victoria's last known movements using , as concern grows for the 34-year-old's welfare.

Wide-scale search efforts are ongoing in the area, with confirming they are currently looking into a range of enquiries, with activities focused on the Malton/Norton area. Yesterday (October 3), officers confirmed they were searching the River Derwent after 'a number of personal possessions' belonging to Victoria were found nearby.

Meanwhile, Victoria's family continue to hold out hope that she'll be brought home safe with her heartbroken sisters pleading with her to get in touch. Here, the looks at Victoria's last known steps.

Before her disappearance, Victoria's devastated fiancé, Matthew Grant Williams, shared a couple's selfie via - believed to be the last photograph taken of Victoria before she went missing. The black and white snap shows the couple, who'd recently returned from their first family holiday in Majorca, posing in a lift.

Matthew has updated his Facebook profile picture to display the selfie, which shows him standing behind his bride-to-be, who can be seen smiling as he places his arms around her waist. This comes as Matthew spoke with the while cuddling the two-year-old daughter he shares with Victoria.

The emotional father said: "I hope she comes back safely. Obviously, this one is missing her mam. We are all hoping she comes back. She was dedicated to her job, dedicated to us, and we had just returned from a lovely holiday. It is just sad."

He continued: "As soon as we reported her missing, knowing her very well we went looking around the area where the police had been. Since then, with the and everything, I just want to be here for this one. We had just go back from holiday.

'I am just heartbroken for this one. I know Vikki wanted this one to have the best opportunities in life - the opportunities she never had. It breaks my heart. We live in hope, don't we kid. She was such a good mother to this kid and I hope she can be a good mother again."

At 9am, Victoria was last seen at her Malton home, and it's understood she had been heading towards the library in Commercial Street. Victoria, who is described as white and approximately 5ft six inches tall, was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black Adidas original puffa jacket with white stripes down the sleeves and a grey Jack Wills hooded jumper.

At 11.35am, CCTV images show Victoria going into a store inside a BP garage on Welham Road in the Norton area of the town, where it's believed she purchased a soft drink. This footage, captured two hours after she was last seen, was released by officers yesterday and shows Victoria wearing a camouflage print cap.

Inspector Martin Dennison, of North Yorkshire Police, said: “We are very concerned about Victoria’s whereabouts and, like her family and friends, just want to see her safe and well. I would urge the public to be cautious if looking for Victoria near the river. Our officers have specialist training and equipment, and they are used to working in various terrains.

“If you do have any information which can help with the search then please call us 101. Any immediate sightings should be reported to 999.”

Sister Heidi Baker has also claimed Victoria was seen heading towards the River Derwent at some point after leaving the garage, reports. Police have confirmed that personal possessions belonging to Victoria have been found close to the River Derwent, while officers using kayaks have been seen scouring the river.

Explaining that those in the local area could expect to see an 'increased presence' of officers, a spokesperson said: "Operation Support Unit and local officers have carried out extensive searches along with support from a police underwater search unit. We have used drones to search the area from above, carried out multiple enquiries and reviewed hours of CCTV from around Malton where Victoria was last seen."
