Several homes have been left under water after a water main burst, which also closed several schools.
Vehicles parked on a road in the Kirkholt estate, in Rochdale, Greater , can be seen partially under water as a result of the incident. Engineers are at the scene as some people living nearby were warned they may experience a drop in water pressure.
A spokesman for United Utilities spokesperson said: "Engineers are currently at Gerrard Street in Rochdale fixing a burst water pipe. We have sent our water on wheels tankers to the area and brought in water from another part of the network to help keep customers’ taps flowing.
"Some may notice they have low pressure or no water whilst the repairs are being carried out. We’d like to apologise to those customers impacted."
