Urgent hunt launched for Chelmsford man missing with four young children

Police have launched an urgent hunt for a man from Chelmsford who went missing with four young children.

Jethro Cox, 38, was last seen at his home in Chelmsford and is believed to be with four children aged five, four and two two-year-olds. Members of the public are being urged to contact the authorities immediately if they have any information on him.

Cox is described as being 6ft tall, with brown hair, stubble and tattoos on his arm. He was dressed in a white jumper, jeans and white trainers when he was last seen, and is thought to have been driving a white Ford C-Max.

said Mr Cox has links to Romford and Hainault in east London and "may have travelled in that direction from Essex".

The force said in a statement: "We're working hard to find Jethro Cox, who is missing from his home in Chelmsford. We believe the 38-year-old is with four children aged five, four and two two-year-olds and is driving a white Ford C-Max.

"We're concerned for his welfare and we've got officers searching for him. If you've seen Jethro and the four children, or if you know where they are, please call us immediately on 101."
