Despite recent cancelation, 'Chucky' team hopeful about franchise's future

The Syfy show Chucky, a spin-off of the Child's Play franchise, was recently canceled after three seasons.

Despite this setback, creator Don Mancini and the cast members remain hopeful about the future of the horror series.

Mancini expressed his gratitude toward fans for their #RenewChucky campaign during this challenging time and assured them that "he'll be back."

This has led to fans hoping that a spin-off/a new show may be in the works.

Jennifer Tilly, who played Tiffany Valentine in the series, thanked fans for their unwavering support and hinted that Chucky might come back, saying, "Resurrections are Chucky's specialties and he has many of them!"

Devon Sawa, famous for his multiple roles in the show, also stayed hopeful about the franchise's future. He declared on social media, "CHUCKY NEVER ENDS!! ... He just respawns."

The news of Chucky's cancelation came as a surprise, especially since Mancini had previously expressed his excitement about his idea for Season 4.

In an interview with The Direct, he revealed that he had already pitched it to the network.

The show, which premiered in 2021 and was executive produced by Mancini among others, follows the murderous adventures of the infamous killer doll from the original Child's Play franchise launched in 1988.
