28 Sep 2024

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu presented two maps during his address to the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on Friday.

The maps depicted all territories, including the disputed West Bank and Gaza Strip, as part of Israel.

"The world must choose between a blessing and a curse," he stated while holding up the maps.

The first map highlighted potential Arab allies in the region, while the second showed Iran and its allies.

In his address, Netanyahu sent a clear message to Iran, saying, "I have a message for Tehran, if you strike us, we will strike you."

He also emphasized that there's no place in Iran or the whole Middle East that's out of Israel's reach.

He took a jab at global leaders for being too easy on Iran, insisting that this appeasement "must end now."

Netanyahu reiterated Israel's determination to continue its military operations in Gaza, where over 41,000 Palestinians have been killed since last October.

He called on Hamas to "surrender, lay down its arms, and release all the hostages."

He also expressed his support for any peaceful civilian governance in the Palestinian enclave and readiness to collaborate with regional partners for local civilian administration in Gaza.

The Israeli leader also announced that military actions in Lebanon would continue, where Israeli forces have killed hundreds in extensive airstrikes this week.

"I've come here today to say enough is enough. We won't rest until our citizens can return safely to their homes," he said.

He added that as long as Hezbollah chooses war, Israel has no choice but to eliminate this threat.

Shortly after his speech, the Israeli military launched massive strikes targeting Hezbollah headquarters in Beirut.
