America shaken again by firing, two people killed, 9 injured in New Orleans

According to information given by the New Orleans Police Department, officers found eight victims injured while responding to a report of firing on an avenue in the St. Roch neighborhood after 3:30 pm. All eight were admitted to the hospital.

About 45 minutes later, police received another report of a shooting about a kilometre north on the same avenue. According to police, one person died on the spot and another died in the hospital. Police said the third victim was taken to the hospital in a private car and is in stable condition. Officers said the shooting took place in an area where a celebration, followed by a parade, was taking place.

Horrific shooting at Tuskegee University

Even after the formation of a new government in America, incidents of firing are not stopping. Last week, a fierce firing took place at Tuskegee University in Alabama. One person died and 16 others were injured in this incident. Police had said that the 18-year-old youth who was shot was not a student of the university. But some of the injured people were students of the university.

12 people injured in firing

Police have now arrested one of the shooters. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said Sunday afternoon that 12 people were injured in the shooting and four others suffered non-gunshot-related injuries. The university said in a statement that the parents of the person who died in the shooting have been notified. Several others, including Tuskegee University students, were injured and are being treated at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika and Baptist South Hospital in Montgomery.
