A big update has come out in the Mahalakshmi murder case that happened 23 days ago in Bengaluru, Karnataka. While the police thought that they had solved the case, a new angle came out. After the murderer Mukti Ranjan Roy committed suicide, his mother has now come forward. The murderer's mother said that her son loved Mahalakshmi very much. But Mahalakshmi was blackmailing him. She used to threaten to implicate him in a false kidnapping case. Mukti Ranjan started going into depression because of this. Mukti must have committed suicide due to depression.

Now the question before the police is whether Mukti and Mahalakshmi really had an affair. Was it one-sided love or did Mukti kill Mahalakshmi because she was fed up with blackmailing? The police are currently trying to find answers to all these questions. Everyone is being questioned, from Mahalakshmi's family to the murderer's family.

On September 3, Mukti Ranjan murdered saleswoman Mahalakshmi in Vayalikaval. The murderer then chopped Mahalakshmi's body into 59 pieces, put them in the fridge, and fled from there. The flat remained closed for many days, so no one had any idea that such a crime had happened there. Later on September 21, when the mother of the deceased came there, it was revealed that Mahalakshmi had been murdered.

But there was no information about the murderer. When the police started the investigation, first Mahalakshmi's husband Hemant was suspected. After that, the needle of suspicion also turned towards a man named Ashraf. But neither of them had anything to do with this case. When the police confirmed this, the scope of the investigation was expanded. The investigation was carried out day and night in detail. This hard work of the police paid off and the murderer was found.

The name of the murderer was Mukti Ranjan Roy. He used to work in a shop with Mahalakshmi. The police traced Mukti's location. It was found that she was in Odisha. As soon as the police reached the Bhadrak district of Odisha, another shocking news came on 25 September. It was found that Mukti's body was found hanging from a tree in the cemetery of Dhusuri. The police also found a suicide note from her. Some things were written in Hindi, Oriya, and English.

Mukti's suicide note

Mukti had written in the suicide note- I killed Mahalakshmi on 3rd September. That day I had gone to Mahalakshmi's house. We had an argument over something. Then Mahalakshmi attacked me. I did not like this and in anger I killed her. Then I cut her body into 59 pieces put them in the fridge and ran away from there. I also tried to clean the room so that people would not smell the stench. I did not like Mahalakshmi's behavior at all. I definitely regretted the murder later. Because whatever I did in anger was wrong. I was scared so I ran there.

He also wrote, 'I liked her, I loved her, but her behavior was not good for me. She threatened to implicate me in a kidnapping case. I also spent a lot of money on her. But still, she was doing this to me.'

Statement of the mother of Mukti

Now, in this case, Mukti Maa has told many more shocking things. She said- Mukti Ranjan and Mahalakshmi used to work in a shop. Here both of them met and they became friends. There was a relationship between the two. Mahalakshmi was pressuring Mukti Ranjan to marry her. There was a constant debate between the two on this issue. Angered by this, Mukti Ranjan killed Mahalakshmi and cut the body into pieces. Then he also committed suicide.

Mukti's mother said- Mukti called me on the night of 24 September. He cried in front of me and said that he had killed Mahalakshmi. After confessing to the murder, he committed suicide the next day at 5 am.
