India China Direct Flight: In the G20 Summit, the Foreign Minister of India met Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

S Jaishankar meets China Foreign Minister Wang : All the heads of the world are meeting in the ongoing G20 Summit in Brazil. Also, the Foreign Minister is also participating in it. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, who is also in Brazil, met Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi here and discussed the recent progress in reducing border tensions and important issues such as starting direct flights between India and China.

Relations improved with the withdrawal of forces

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi discussed the future steps to be taken after the withdrawal of troops from Ladakh during the G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro. He also spoke on the global situation.

S Jaishankar wrote on X, "On the sidelines of the G20 Summit in Rio, met with CPC Politburo member and China's FM Wang Yi. They also exchanged views on the next steps in our bilateral relations. The global situation was also discussed," he said.

Wang also spoke of the need for "more mutual trust and less suspicion" between the two countries and urged India to resume direct flights, Reuters reported. He also urged for enhanced cooperation on visa facilitation.

If direct flights start between India and China, then the citizens of both countries will get a lot of ease. Also, they will save money. Currently, one has to travel between India and China through a third country. This causes them to pay more rent.
